Function Description:

3.1. The module has IN/OUT and ON/OFF keys: In/OUT keys switch input voltage and output voltage display, long press can switch output current output power display;ON/OFF button control output ON or OFF, long press can set the next power on the default output state is ON or OFF.

3.2.CC set potentiometer for current, clockwise rotation, can increase the set current, when the load current reaches the set current, enter the constant current state, CC constant current indicator (red) on; right CV set potentiometer for voltage, clockwise rotation, can increase the output voltage. The ON indicator is the output status indicator. When the output terminal is voltage, it will turn off.

 

Usage method:

 

1. as an ordinary lift module with over current protection capability.

(1) adjust the CV constant voltage potentiometer to make the output voltage reach the voltage value you want.

(2) Measure the output short-circuit current with the current range of 10A of the multimeter table (directly connect two meter pens to the output end), and adjust the CC constant current potentiometer so that the output current reaches the predetermined overcurrent protection value. (For example, if the current value of the multimeter is 2A, the maximum current can only reach 2A when you use the module; if the current reaches 2A, the red constant voltage constant current indicator is on, otherwise the indicator will be off)

Note: In this state of use, because there is a current sampling resistance at the output, there will be a voltage drop of 0-0.2V after the load is connected. At the same time, when the current is high, there will be a certain line voltage drop between the input and output conductors.This is a normal phenomenon.

 

2. use as battery charger

Modules without constant current function can not be used to charge the battery, because the voltage difference between the battery and the charger is very large, resulting in excessive charging current, resulting in battery damage, so the beginning of the battery to use constant current charging, when the charge to a certain extent, automatically switch back to constant voltage charging.

(1) Determine the floating charge voltage and charging current you need to charge the battery; (If the lithium battery parameter is 3.7V/2200mAh, then the floating charge voltage is 4.2V, the maximum charging current is 1C, that is 2200mA)
(2) Under no-load condition, the multimeter measures the output voltage and adjusts the constant voltage potentiometer to make the output voltage reach the floating charge voltage; (If you charge the 3.7V lithium battery, adjust the output voltage to 4.2V.)
(3) Measure the output short-circuit current with the current range of 10A of the multimeter (directly connect the two meter pens to the output), and adjust the constant current potentiometer to make the output current reach the predetermined charging current value.
(4) connect the battery and charge.

 

(steps 1, 2 and 3 are: the input is connected to the power supply, and the output ends are not connected to batteries).

 

3. used as high-power LED constant current driver module.

(1) determine the working current and the highest working voltage of LED.

(2) Under no-load condition, the multimeter measures the output voltage and adjusts the constant voltage potentiometer to make the output voltage reach the highest working voltage of LED.

(3) Measure the output short-circuit current with the current range of 10A, and adjust the constant current potentiometer to make the output current reach the predetermined LED working current.

(4) connect to LED, test machine.

(steps 1, 2 and 3 are: input power supply, output no load without LED lamp.)

Note: when the module exceeds 3A and 35W, please strengthen the heat dissipation!!!

 

Matters needing attention:

The 1. module input IN- is prohibited from shorting the output OUT-, otherwise the constant current function fails.

2. make sure that the power of the power supply is always greater than that of the output load.

3. If the module wants full load output, the input voltage should be more than 8V. When the input voltage is 5V, the output power is about 15W, and the voltmeter and ammeter are invalid. Module current maximum 4A, subject to the maximum output power, such as output 17V, current should not exceed 2A.

4. Module with output short-circuit protection, after short-circuit protection module automatically shut down the output, power module can be restored, if your power supply without output current-limiting protection, it is recommended that the module input front-end series fuse to improve the safety factor.

5. The module has the function of input under-voltage protection, the default is about 4.7V, below this value, the output will be automatically disconnected, and the module can be restored by re-energizing (note that the voltage at the module port, when the input current is relatively large, do not ignore the voltage on the input wire).
